As Simple as A-B-C-D-E
Perhaps you've heard the expression before, "It's as simple as A-B-C." I'd like to expand that thought as a basis for today's lesson. God's word teaches that salvation is as simple as A-B-C-D-E. Allow me to explain.

In order to be saved, you must...

Now, keep in mind there is a difference between simple and easy. Intellectually, the plan of salvation that God has set forth in His Scriptures is simple to understand. However, following through and living a faithful life (i.e., enduring) is not always easy. Christ and His apostles predicted that many would begin the Christian life and not finish it successfully. Many would begin the journey with joy and much promise only to falter under the trials and cares of the world (cf. Matt. 13:20-22; I Tim. 4:1). It takes much disciple and dedication to be saved.

Dear friends, do you have the desire to be saved? Do you yearn for a heavenly home with your Creator? Salvation is as simple as A-B-C-D-E! It is our hope and prayer that you will submit to these Biblical steps to be saved, remaining true to Jesus and His church until the very end. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). When He makes a promise, He keeps it. Thus, those who follow His plan for salvation will not be disappointed! However, those who fail to remain faithful or those who attempt to be saved in a way that God has not prescribed have false hope of eternal life.

If you have yet to demonstrate your allegiance to Christ by being baptized for the remission of your sins, what are you waiting for? God has done His part by extending His grace to all the world. Will you do your part by responding with obedient faith (cf. Eph. 2:8)? If you obeyed these steps in the past but drifted from the pure gospel and the one and only church, why not come back today?
